See below: this year's application and final report from LAST YEAR (must be completed to be considered this year)
The 2011 Teachers' Grants cycle will open in August of 2011. Applications will be available through Franklin County Schools administration, via Central Office (Public Information Office) or through school principals. Applications will be posted on this website.
If a teacher was awarded a grant in 2010, he or she must file a final report, also available through the Central Office and principals.
Wake Electric will judge the grants again this year. Because of continued education grant support from Novozymes and increased community support, including from the school system, during the United Way of Franklin County general campaign, the dollar amount for this cycle has increased to $30,000; each grant maximum remains at $1,500.
Please contact UWFC Executive Director Kathy Harrelson if you have any questions, 496-0937. The UWFC board of directors is proud to support our county teachers in these innovative projects.
